We had a nice dinner at Felice. Service felt a bit jumbled as we had four different servers throughout the night which affected the overall ambiance. We were seated outside as we didn't have a reservation, so recommend booking in advance. Food was good overall, the truffle pizza (starter) was especially delicious. The carbonara was a bit grainy but tasted fine and the tiramisu was very delicious.
2 months agoWe had an excellent meal at the Felice Montague. We had drinks, starters, entrees a single dessert and good wine. The Italian theme is strong and authentic starting with the good virgin olive oil to go along with the Italian bread and ending with the many different pasta dishes we tried. The mini pizza we had as a starter was simple but a highlight of taste and took us back to Italy where we have been and dined many times. The wine list offered a reasonably priced Roero Arneis which I think is rare to find outside Piemonte. It was delicious. The service was good but a little confused with three different waiters at the same time. But three were friendly and nice and helped make it a great experience.
2 months ago4.3 ⭐️ what a gem of a spot. I brought my out of town friend here and everyone thanked me for a great restaurant choice. What we ate: fried artichokes & calamari: 5stars, so light and fresh but also crisp, and flavorful. Best thing we ordered bruschetta: not your typical bruschetta, this is with large pieces of tomato and soft bread, but there tomato’s are very fresh and tasty special melon salad: our server really sold this one and TBH is was a bit basic for me 🤷🏻♀️ good clean flavors, maybe just not great for sharing. Pasta: we each got a main pasta and everyone really enjoyed their own. Well prepared and balanced flavors, I think any is probably a safe bet! Chocolate Hazelnut torte: very nice, reminiscent of a Ferraro roche. Rich but not too sweet, and good hazelnut flavor. I would get this again. Small ish portion Tiramisu: very nice, we’ll done, would get again, but I personally preferred the hazelnut torte Vibes are classic and put together without feeling stuffy. Service was very friendly without feeling overbearing. We stayed for 2hr and didn’t feel rushed at all. It’s just a really solid spot that is also not hard to get a reservation at. I’ll definitely be back!
2 months agoTitle: An Exquisite Italian Delight with Exceptional Service Filece Restaurant in Brooklyn Heights is an absolute gem that surpassed all our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The attentive staff made us feel right at home, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. To start our meal, we were presented with a bowl of Italian bread and virgin olive oil on the side. This delightful addition was a perfect way to kick off our dining experience. The bread was freshly baked and paired perfectly with the flavorful and high-quality virgin olive oil. It was a delicious and satisfying way to whet our appetites. The menu at Filece Restaurant is a testament to their commitment to authentic Italian cuisine. With a variety of options to choose from, we were delighted to explore both the brunch and dinner menus. My wife opted for the classic Chicken Parmesan with a side order of pasta, while I indulged in the delightful Pizzetta con Salmone. The flavors were simply outstanding, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Every bite was a burst of harmonious flavors that left us craving for more. One aspect that truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. They accommodated my wife's request for pasta, even though it was not included with her dish, and provided a small side order. Throughout our meal, they checked on us regularly, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the experience truly memorable. The seating arrangements were comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal. The simple yet tasteful decor added to the overall ambiance, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The soft and relaxing music in the background further enhanced the dining experience, allowing us to savor each bite in a soothing environment. We must highlight two standout dishes from our meal. The vegetable soup was a culinary masterpiece, rich in flavor yet light on the stomach. The perfectly cooked vegetables and enjoyable temperature made it an absolute delight. As for the desserts, the gelato and sorbet were unparalleled. We couldn't help but be amazed by the extraordinary flavors and textures. They were truly the best we've had in years. The attention to detail extended to the packaging of our leftovers. The staff thoughtfully packed the remaining food in containers and placed them in a convenient paper bag with handles, making it easy for us to take them home. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices for the quality of service received. Filece Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience at a fair and accessible price point, making it even more appealing. We also noticed the on-site bar, which seemed to be a popular choice among the guests. Although we didn't indulge in alcoholic beverages during our visit, the dedicated bartender and the bustling atmosphere showcased the bar's appeal. In conclusion, Filece Restaurant in Brooklyn Heights is a culinary haven for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. The outstanding food, exceptional service, comfortable seating, relaxing music, and reasonable prices create an unforgettable dining experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Filece Restaurant and look forward to returning to try more of their delectable dishes in the future.
a month agoThe food here is good although I think slightly overpriced. For example the cheapest cocktail is $17 and if memory serves the cheapest pasta option is around $25. I recommend the burrata and prosciutto starter and the salmon-rigatoni pasta dish (rich and spicy creamy tomato sauce and chunks of salmon). I can’t recommend the cacio e pepe because it was kind of lacking in flavor despite being topped with parmesan. I do recommend the charcuterie plate it comes with bresaola and prosciutto, 2 cheeses and pickled artichoke and some olives. The arancini were okay, you get 5 small ones and some tartar dipping sauce. I read some other reviews that mentioned they had 3-4 different servers through the meal and we also had essentially the same experience, which was strange because we were there when it wasn’t busy. I don’t understand the rationale behind one person taking your order and another person bringing the food and then having a third person give you the dessert and coffee menu. If its between shifts then whatever fine, but it seems this is happening a lot with other reviewers as well from reading here in google. Lastly we had the lemon tart dessert and it was good, but it was definitely $15.
