It was our first day in Oslo, and little did we know, we'd be spending over three lovely hours eating seafood and drinking wine by the water side. The meal was well paced, didn't feel rushed, and time just flew by. We made reservations a few weeks prior. We had the king crab au gratin, highly recommend. The lemon dessert was very tasty. All the food was enjoyable.
2 months agoThis famous by the water restaurant as I have been told by my Norwegian friend, opens from May to October. Serves fresh seafood platters & ala carte menu. Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely view of the passing boats. I had fabulous scallops for starter and monk fish on risotto as main. Unfortunately The risotto was NOT amazing as it tasted strong BURNT flavour that killed the whole dish. I had to squeeze lemon to balance it out.
2 months agoWe had the best dinner before going back to our country. The best king crab legs and we were served by Jose very good recommendations 🙏
2 months agoHaving a hard time reviewing this one. Food looked fantastic, but tasted bland. Very high price, but excellent location. Tired staff that was hard to get hold of when needed. I kind of want to give a good rating, but staff & flavors can't really justify it. Edit 2023: more tasty seafood and slightly more attentive staff this time around. Big plus for high quality desserts this time.
3 months agoVery beautiful setting, on the water. The service is fantastic and the food was great.
