The chicken pesto risotto was delicious. Very hot, not spicy. The baked ricotta dessert was a little weird, but the butterscotch on it was Delicious.

We went for the first time ever yesterday and LOVED it! I couldn’t take a picture of everything we ordered because I was too excited to eat but here’s the breakdown: Overall Experience -Staff are sweet and friendly -Plenty of parking around the restaurant -We sat outdoors and had a beautiful view of the woods below but there’s also indoor seating What we ordered (the menu changes!) -Budino with Roasted Grapes: excellent -Caesar Salad: great dressing -House Made Sourdough Focaccia: standard delicious focaccia but the hummus stole the show -Boneless Beef Shortrib: pictured below and it was amazing. I loved every bite and even the broccolini was addicting -Fogline Farm Stuffed Chicken with Spaetzle: my partner ordered this meal and I only got ONE, albeit delicious, bite since he ate it so fast and didn’t share -Brownie ala Mode: I don’t even like chocolate but loved this -Seasonal Sorbet Trio: Incredible. The kiwi flavor was outstanding as it had the perfect balance between the sweetness, and tangy tartness of an actual kiwi We’ll be back, see you then!

This is the biggest disappointment that I have had in the last two years. This can not be a 4.6 restaurant. Beef was overcooked and dry. Flavorless. The ravioli was ok. The only thing good was the potatoes. Please do not come to this place. Service is good though. It’s way to expensive for what you are going to receive.

Fine dining and Santa Cruz don't usual go hand in hand, but Persephone might just change that. Saying the food was amazing is an understatement. Loved the food, loved the service, looking forward to going back.

I have been here several times and never a single time I was let down. I usually order the 3 course menu ($60) including appetizer, pasta, and an entree. Yes the portion is smaller than a la carte, but neither my partner nor I felt we needed to order more. The Chef is also good at making soup. It’s so good I was seriously considering order a regular bowl. Wine by glass is quite pricey, usually between $12-15/glass. We decided to go with a bottle that fits within the budget we are more comfortable with. It’s a family owned restaurant so maybe that’s why it feels even more homier. The paintings on the walls were painted by the mother of the chef. It does get busy on the weekends. It’ll make the whole dining experience even better if they can reduce the number of tables in the restaurant. Our table was really close to other tables it reminded me of my dining experience in Paris.
