My first time trying Mexican food and experience was just amazing. The ambience is amazing, also the drinks and food. Jose Luis was our chef and according to couple of my Mexican friends that I went with this is the most authentic and best Mexican food they have had in Scotland. The staff is very very friendly, overall amazing experience.

Loved coming here for dinner! Great atmosphere, lovely waitresses, my partner had chicken enchiladas which were fab and I had large tacos with guacamole and vegetarian haggis for my main. Food was amazing value and tasted lovely, although vegetarian haggis looked like it was straight out of a packet which was slightly disappointing, and the rice was a bit al dente. But overall it was a fab meal and we would definitely recommend.

Had such an amazing restaurant experience at Viva Mexico! I think what stood out the most was the friendliness of the people working here. We were welcomed with broad smiles and kind words. Additionally, the food was absolutely incredible. The nachos we ordered as a starter were such a big portion that it could've been a full meal in itself. The drinks were also heavenly 😍 We thought the very colourfully decorated interior added a lot to the atmosphere. Would warmly recommend Viva Mexico to anyone searching for a wonderful restaurant experience in Edinburgh (:

The best Mexican restaurant bar none! The staff are fabulous and didn’t try to rush us as we were choosing what we wanted. They answered all the questions we had about the drinks and brought our chosen food and drinks really quickly. We shared a cheese and haggis quesadilla starter, mains were a burrito and enchilada and we rounded it off with some delicious sorbet. It was so nice to talk, eat and drink in such a relaxed atmosphere and we were more than happy to leave a tip as the whole meal was such good value for money. We can’t wait to come back the next time we are in Edinburgh.

Good Mexican restaurant with ample options for vegetarians or those with allergens. Some of the flavors hail more from a Spanish background than a Mexican one, but still delicious! Service was prompt and kind.
