Authentic delicious Eritrean / Ethiopian food! Everyone who works here is so sweet and it felt super homey. I loved the food I ordered and would be great to share with a few people. The food is extremely affordable and you could easily go here with a 4+ people without worrying about a long wait. Went here for lunch on a week day and the service was fast. Will definitely be back for dinner with some friends!

Keren is located in a high-energy neighborhood full of mom-and-pop shops. They operate a very modest space with great food and warm smiles. The food was good. The beef could have been a bit more tender. The injera was great. Soft and tangy. There is 1 lady taking care of the front of house. She did her best but service was kind of slow. But the taste was amazing,!!!!

What a wonderful surprise on our trip to dc. We were looking for something different and came across Keren restaurant. The food was so good and so different than anything we had before,... and the staff was really friendly and welcoming. It was definitely worth the wait and would recommend this for anyone looking for something different but still accessible

This is an amazing Eritrean restaurant! I try to visit it every time I go to DC. I’ve never had to wait before but this time we went on a Saturday and waited more than an hour but it was worth it. We usually get the Keren special with chicken, only $18 and way more than enough food for two people. The food is delicious, the service is great, low prices, and the place is cozy.
